Audrey is the most recent addition to BenGlassLaw’s Disability and Insurance Appeals team. It is her responsibility to stay in touch with clients after their disability benefits have been reinstated and maintain their active claim. Most disability appeal firms don’t have a staff member dedicated to client happiness, making Audrey’s position unique and very beneficial for our clients.
Audrey grew up in Washington D.C. and later moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia. She eventually moved back to northern Virginia and settled in Manassas. We asked her what she liked about living in Manassas, and she said, “I love living so close to DC, I feel like I can go ‘home’ anytime I want.”
As the disability claims manager, Audrey’s function is to assist people in maintaining their active claims. Once a client wins a claim, there are still things that need to be done to retain it. Audrey communicates with the insurance companies and handle their requirements after the claim has been won so the clients don’t have to.
“[My role] is something that makes our firm unique and it’s very fulfilling to be a part of something that improves people’s lives.”
Audrey got her paralegal associates degree because of her interest in the practice of law. “I have always been attracted to the law; I find it fascinating. So many parts of government are unchanging, but laws are always changing and adapting.”
In Audrey’s time off she enjoys being active. Her favorite workouts are Barre (Barre is a form of physical exercise that incorporates of movements derived from ballet) and yoga. “I love taking my two rescue dogs on long walks. On weekends I enjoy cooking, baking and spending time with my 3 children. I am an avid reader and podcast listener.”
A special thanks to Audrey for taking the time to be interviewed, and we hope you’ll have a chance to meet her yourself!
