One of Vancouver's top personal injury attorneys, Jeff Witten,  has a great article at his blog about the role of the family practice doctor. Although Jeff is in Canada, his article is applicable to Virginia car accident victims.

Jeff asks this question: is your family doctor your friend or your fellow?

 He makes these points:

  1.  the family doctor is at the hub of the wheel. Most care runs through this doctor.
  2.  your family doctor should recommend appropriate specialists

Jeff also points out some ways to figure out if your doctor is "anti-lawsuit."  His entire article is here.

Thanks for this article! I've been looking for an accident lawyer in Edmonton but didn't know where to start. Mr. Witten seems like a very knowledgeable guy. I will have to have a consultation. Thanks again! Holly James
