We warn our clients to be very careful about social media. Posting that you can run and jump when you've told the other team's lawyers that you can't run and jump can be deadly to your case.
Now there's a different twist.
A dad settled his employment discrimination lawsuit. He wasn't supposed to tell anyone but he told his daughter. She, idiotically, posted about it on Facebook. (or maybe he was the idiot for not warning her.)
Anyway, since the settlement was conditioned on confidentiality, there went $80,000.
