Tell Us Your Story

Dealing with a rotator cuff injury can be tough and the recovery process can be lengthy.  The human shoulder, like any of your joints, is very complex..

The rotator cuff is part of your shoulder and is a grouping of muscle and tendons that surround the socket.  Its function is to help you raise and lower your arm up and down from your side.  Additionally, it helps to keep your arm properly in its socket, which provides stabilization for the arm as a whole.

One of the primary symptoms of a rotator cuff injury is pain around the shoulder that will get worse when you try to raise the arm.  A particularly bad tear may prevent you from raising the injured arm at all.

The recovery process varies, depending on the extent of your injury.  A partial tear may be improved through non-surgical options such as physical therapy, while a severe tear could require surgery on the injured rotator cuff.
