On March 9, 2018, local referee and attorney, Ben Glass, will launch the BenGlassLaw Varsity Soccer Sportsmanship Challenge. This challenge is open to the boys’ and girls’ high school varsity teams at Fairfax HS, Lake Braddock Secondary, Robinson Secondary, South County HS, West Springfield HS, WT Woodson HS, Centreville HS, Chantilly HS, James Madison HS, Oakton HS, and Westfield HS.

Ben Glass will donate $500 to each team to use as they see fit (up to $1,000 per school) if that team completes the season without receiving a red or yellow card due to unsportsmanlike conduct.

In February, those Fairfax schools listed will receive a package with details about the challenge. There is no charge to participate, but schools must confirm their participation by visiting SportsmanshipChallenge.com and completing the web form. Only authorized representatives of the schools are allowed to confirm their school’s participation.

If you are a parent or student at one of the eligible schools, speak with your coach or athletic director about participating in the program. BenGlassLaw Varsity Soccer Sportsmanship Challenge is an excellent opportunity to raise money for your school and set an example for other teams.
