If your disability insurance company denies your benefits claim or terminates your benefits, you have 180 days to appeal. Don't try to do this on your own! After 180 days, if you have to go to litigation, neither you nor your lawyer can add anything to the appeal file. Hire an experienced disability attorney early enough that he or she can get everything into your file that you need for your case.
