Update --- 03/31/2020

Northern Virginia’s high school soccer season has been canceled due to COVID-19. Unfortunately, this means the BenGlassLaw Varsity Sportsmanship Challenge is canceled too.

This year, we had the most schools in BenGlassLaw's Varsity Sportsmanship Challenge history volunteer to make a positive change in varsity high school soccer! We believe that all these schools are trailblazers, signaling to the world that sportsmanship in high school soccer is making a comeback.

Thank you to the schools that accepted the challenge.

Additionally, we wish the best of luck to all graduating players and ask that you carry the sportsmanship torch into college sports.

Be safe and continue to utilize social distancing. See you all next year!

*We will invite all of the teams below to the 2021 BenGlassLaw Varsity Sportsmanship Challenge*

Ben Glass has been a soccer referee in Northern Virginia since 1974. Over the last decade, he has witnessed a steady decline in sportsmanship and respect for opponents and sports officials. Mr. Glass has said, “this decline of sportsmanship has created a referee shortage that threatens the future of the game.” He hopes to change this outcome by deterring unsportsmanlike behavior from players, coaches, and parents.
