Fairfax personal injury attorney Ben Glass was invited to speak at a seminar sponsored by the Fairfax Bar Association. Most of the lawyers in attendance had been in practice five years or less.
Glass advised the attorneys that in order to have a long and fun career in the law they had to learn to ignore the "babble" of older lawyers who just aren't having any fun anymore.
He discussed several outside the box techniques for taking depositions and suggested that just because other lawyers take depositions in a particular way does not mean that you have to. "Always think of what you really want to get out of the deposition before deciding to spend your time and money taking one."
Ben Glass runs a mentorship program in Fairfax Virginia for young lawyers who have started their own practices. For more information contact Mr. Glass at his office.
