You could have Cervical Acceleration/Deceleration Syndrome.

Cervical Acceleration/Deceleration Syndrome (aka whiplash) occurs when a force of impact is placed on the body sending the head into a forced extended and/or flexed position. Whiplash is the most common injury as a result of an auto accident. Pain can develop in the back of the neck hours and even days after the accident. Nerve-root irritation induces spasm of the neck muscles and occipital headache may develop. This may be accompanied by blurred vision. Symptoms of whiplash can also include soreness in the shoulders and low back, carpal tunnel, and dizziness.

Where can I seek treatment for whiplash?

At the Taschler Center, we perform full examinations and provide appropriate referrals to other healthcare professionals when necessary. Chiropractic is a proven, safe, and effective treatment for whiplash injuries. We also do all the insurance paperwork for you to eliminate the added stress.

When should I come in? It is important to seek treatment with a Chiropractic Physician immediately. Although several people walk away feeling fine after a car accident, there could be several underlying injuries that may have occurred.

What can I expect during my first visit?

You can expect to undergo a full case history, medical examination, gait analysis, x-rays, a treatment, and a thorough explanation of how we can help you.

How does chiropractic care help?
