Tell Us Your Story

Long-term disability insurance companies will often cherry pick the medical records to find any sign of "improvement." In this case our client was disabled from a ruptured brain aneurysm. When one of her doctors wrote in the chart "improved" one day he was merely commenting on how her condition was compared to how did been just several months earlier. He was not saying that she could return to work.

The insurance company, however, grabbed onto this comment and suggesting that our client was fully recovered and it terminated her benefits. This caused several months of huge financial distress as our law firm went into action to obtain all of the pertinent medical records, talk to physicians, do medical and legal research and prepare a lengthy appeal. We were successful and the client is now receiving her monthly benefits.

This is the note that she wrote to us after we gave her her check for back benefits and restored her to claim:

I had ruptured brain aneurysm. I had purchased long term disability insurance thru my work and had paid 15+ years. The company paid for about 12 or 18 months then all of a sudden one month stopped. They stated that one of the many doctors I had seen said  my condition was under control and I could go back to work. Thanks to my husband Ben Glass my benefits were re-instated. BEn's  staff is always polite, quick to respond to my questions and I always have many questions because my memory is and will just not be there. They made me feel like I was a vital part of society when the insurance company made me feel horrible about my self. Life is different but God left me here for a reason, and he put Ben Glass, his staff and my family as my continued support. I can not say thank you enough this has eased the strain for my family financially. Contact Ben Glass you will not be sorry you did and he is very straight forward caring person.
