If your doctor says any of these 5 phrases, they are hurting your chance at a disability claim...

The list below was taken directly from the claim manual of a major disability insurance carrier.  They referred to these phrases as "generally insufficient statements."

Here they are:

  1. "Claimant is totally disabled"

  2. "Claimant is temporarily totally disabled"

  3. "Claimant is unable to do any activity"

  4. "Claimant cannot work"

  5. "Claimant off work until MM/DD/YYYY"

If the form your doctor fills out doesn't get any stronger than that, you won't win your claim.
