There are a lot of factors that go into selecting the right attorney for your case. What should you be paying attention to?
- Is this lawyer giving me information about my situation?
You want an attorney who has your needs in mind and knows what you’re going through. If someone is pressuring you instead of offering you free information about your case, turn the other way. You want an attorney who is freely supplying articles, videos, and books to the public.
- Does this lawyer have experience and success in cases like mine?
You want an attorney who has a good track record with car accident cases. Is he or she board certified? Is personal injury their primary practice area? What do they say about their former cases and clients?
- Client testimonials.
You’ll want to know what former clients are saying about the firm. Did they feel comfortable and in-the-loop throughout the process? Would they recommend the firm to others? How has their case impacted their lives? Not all firms will have video testimonials, but you’ll want at least some written material from past clients.
- Is this a lawyer I’d like to work with?
