Can I (and should I) settle my Stafford, Virginia car accident case myself?

There are many cases of car accidents that can be settled without an attorney. An attorney will typically charge between 25% and 40% to settle your case. In some situations, this is too high a price to pay to get the money you deserve from the insurance company.

Each case is different and we recommend that you educate yourself about your car accident prior to speaking to the adjuster. However, simple cases where you have an initial period of treatment followed by less than six weeks of physical therapy or chiropractic care can be and usually are  settled without an attorney.

Many attorneys will tell you that the settlement will be "lost." Well, you have to do the math. An attorney may be able to get "more" money from the insurance company, but after deducting a fee of anywhere from 25% to 40%, is it really more?
