Should I talk with the insurance company representative? Should I give a statement to the other insurance company?

Our recommendation is that you not speak to the insurance company representative for the person who hit you until you have either spoken to an experienced personal injury attorney or read Ben Glass's very successful book, Five Deadly Sins  That Can Wreck Your Car Accident Case.

Be aware that if you give a recorded statement to an insurance adjuster that statement may be used against you later. (Try this: ask the insurance adjuster if you can record a statement from the person who hit you!)

Remember, though, you will have to speak with the insurance adjuster from your own insurance company!
