Tell Us Your Story

In Virginia, you have 2 years from the date of the injury to sue your doctor for damages, which is known as the statute of limitations.  However, this 2-year period can be extended based on the continuing treatment rule.  According to this rule, the statute of limitations does not start until the doctor who caused your injury is no longer treating you.

Medical malpractice cases are not easy to win and the sooner you talk with an attorney, the better.  An experienced Virginia medical malpractice attorney will be able to review your claim to determine if you have a strong case against your doctor.  A lawyer will also be able to advise you on the timeframe you have to file your claim.
