Are Attorneys Paid By The Hour or on Contingency?

The vast majority of our cases are done on a contingency fee basis. In those cases, you agree to pay a percentage of the total recovery in the case. That fee varies depending on the case. We do very little of any work on an hourly basis. We feel that "billable hour" does not promote efficiency and that most clients would rather not be surprised by a lawyer's bill. Most all of our non-contingent fee work is done on a flat-fee basis, which we believe makes the most sense.
