On April 13, 2016, our client was driving east on Featherstone Rd. when she slowed to make a left turn. At that same time, the defendant was driving directly behind her. Unfortunately, the defendant didn’t slow his vehicle accordingly and rear-ended her.
Due to the defendant’s negligent driving, he was charged with following too closely. He ultimately failed to appear for court and was found guilty of the charge.
Our client suffered severe left hip pain resulting from the accident and required surgical care.
The case settled with $125,000 awarded to our client for injuries sustained that may be permanent and progressive with uncertain recovery.
