The BenGlassLaw Accident Team Settles Multi-Car Accident for $200,000.

Recently the BenGlassLaw car accident legal team settled a car accident claim stemming from an Octoberย  accident at the intersection ofย  Route 50 (Lee Jackson Memorial Highway) and Stringfellow Road in Chantilly in Fairfax County.

Our client was driving when another vehicle was rear-ended and then pushed into his vehicle causing significant property damage and personal injury to him. Specifically, he was diagnosed with an ankle fracture and later diagnosed with a sternum fracture and two vertebrae fractures.

The sternum, commonly known as the breastbone, is a flat, elongated bone located in the center of the chest. It connects to the rib bones via cartilage and forms the front part of the rib cage, helping to protect vital organs such as the heart and lungs. The sternum is divided into three parts: the manubrium at the top, the body in the middle, and the xiphoid process at the bottom.

Strong Recovery, High Medical Bills for The Chantilly Accident

Fortunately, he made a strong recovery, didn’t require surgery, and had no significant permanent injuries. However, his medical care reached just over $85,000. Given the nature of the claim we were hopeful that our client could have resolved the claim without our help because the liability and injuries seemed quite clear. However insurance companies being insurance companies, they refused to even make an offer. We had to file suit and ultimately did not receive an offer until just before trial.

In Virginia, car accidents happen a lot, with hundreds of thousands of crashes each year. In 2022 alone, there were over 120,000 crashes, which caused many injuries and deaths. These accidents often lead to lawsuits, where injured people try to get money for their damages.

Fairfax County Circuit Court Lawsuit Statistics

Fairfax County Circuit Court does not publicly release detailed statistics on the number of lawsuits filed each year on its website. However, data on car accident cases can often be gathered from legal analysis firms and state agencies like the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles or through news reports on major cases filed in the circuit court.

That being said, Fairfax County Circuit Court is one of the busiest courts in Virginia. The court typically sees a high volume of civil cases, including car accident lawsuits, due to the county’s large population and the extensive network of roads and highways in the area. For more specific statistics on the number of car accident lawsuits filed each year, you may need to directly contact the Fairfax County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office or refer to specialized legal resources.
