If you have a long time nanny for your child and you want to provide maximum employee benefits to the nannie, there are several considerations to be made when thinking about disability benefits.

1. Can I even purchase the policy at any reasonable premium?

2. Will benefits be paid if the nannie is no longer able to work or is this a worker's compensation matter.

3. Am I eligible for group benefits? (Or is the nanny eligible under some association.

The National Nannies blog has some good food for thought on the issue of disability insurance policies for nannies.
