Recently, a defendant was permitted to withdraw his guilty plea when the law enforcement officer involved in his case admitted to swearing to lies in order to obtain a search warrant.  This is a great example as to how closely defense counsel must pay attention to their client and the public should not rush to judgment simply because someone is charged with an offense.
