DWI charge properly amended to a reckless driving by court.

In Kelly v. Stamos, the district court judge, without having convicted the defendant, ordered she complete various requirements as a result of her DWI charge.  Upon completion, the judge amended the DWI charge to reckless driving and convicted her of the amended charge.

This is a big win for district court judges who wish to consider cases on their individual facts.  Take a look:
