It is sometimes hard for the general public to believe that eveyone is treated equally under the law. Here, Loudoun County public defender (head of the department which defends folks who cannot afford an attorney) Lorie O’Donnell, who was accused of stealing a can of Red Bull in Winchester last year, was allowed to plead guilty to trespassing. This may allow her to keep her law license.

Apparently, when she was arrested, it was also discovered that her driver's license was suspended for accumulating too many unpaid tickets.

Tom Jackman has to whole story on the Loudoun public defender here.

So, what do you think? Public office. We pay her salary. Should she be able to cop this plea? Keep her job?
