Jarissa started as an intern at BenGlassLaw during the Spring 2019 semester. We were so impressed with her skills that we invited her to work part-time. Though she may be quiet in the office, Jarissa is a big presence at our firm.
At BenGlassLaw, Jarissa assists the personal injury paralegals in records requests and casework. Recently, Jarissa was invited to watch James Abrenio in trial and to get firsthand experience with trying a case in court. When we asked what she enjoyed about her work here, she said, “I really enjoy learning about the case process and how to follow a case from start to finish.”
Jarissa is originally from Philadelphia. In 2016 she moved to northern Virginia to attend college at George Mason University. She is studying Criminology with a minor in Forensic Psychology and Social Work. Jarissa is starting her senior year of college in Fall 2019 while continuing to work at BenGlassLaw part-time.
We asked Jarissa what she liked about working at BenGlassLaw. She said, “I love the friendliness of the work environment at BenGlassLaw! Everyone here really cares about what they do, and you can tell they want to be here, which is really special.”
Outside of work and school, Jarissa is a member of a competitive cappella group. “I love to sing!” She told us, and she promised us that she would demonstrate her skills to the office one day (she didn’t really promise to sing for us, but we are optimistic).
A special thanks to Jarissa for taking the time to be interviewed and to let us get to know her better. If you have a personal injury case at BenGlassLaw, Jarissa is one of the amazing team members working to ensure you get the best possible outcome for your case.
